With the help of management software, Global Shop Solutions, and dedicated employees Evans Industries is in the process of going paperless. The idea began with an attempt to limit the amount of paper produced and paper lost on the shop floor. It has begun to evolve to more than that.
The goal is to have no paper prints or job travelers on the shop floor. The way to do this is by continuing to add computers accompanied by monitors, large enough to view a full print, across the shop. This will allow the employees to punch into a job (just like they are now) and at their fingertips have a print, a 3D model, and even virtual notes and pictures that will remind them of their proven process in which a good part was produced. This is an exciting step forward for Evans Industries.
