Highspeed Milling

Highspeed Milling

Multiple vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines line the shop floor at Evans Industries, the largest of which boasts travels of over 100” x 69”. The bridge machines’ double-column design provides and expansive workspace along with extreme rigidity needed for heavy table loads and tough cutting conditions.

The ability of these machines to produce large components is complemented by their accuracy. The flexibility achieved from having the latest in both vertical and horizontal machining doesn’t go unnoticed as the combination of these machines can produce almost anything a customer could imagine.

5-Axis Machining

5-Axis Machining

Five-axis machining brings the benefit of machining complex shapes all in one set up. The machining productivity exceeds that of standard high-speed milling while significantly reducing cost and time spent on any one setup.

At Evans, five-axis machining is considered to be the future of this business allowing machining abilities to take leaps and bounds forward with ease. With five current machines, of which the largest travel is 108” x 43”, and more on their way, the surface of five-axis machining has just begun to be scratched.

Wire EDM

Wire EDM

Evans Industries uses Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (Wire EDM) to produce precision, complex geometric and burr free parts. Wire EDM involves utilizing an electrically energized thin brass wire to cut through metals and can produce complex shapes in almost any type of metal. EDM wire used is as small as .0040” diameter.

Our EDM working platform is: X 12−1÷2″ x Y 8−1÷2″ x Z 7″
