5 Axis Machining
A major benefit of five-axis machining is the ability to machine complex shapes in a single set-up. This gives greater machining productivity compared to performing the job in a series of set ups, as well as significantly reducing the time and cost of preparing fixtures. Furthermore, five-axis machining eliminates the possibility of incorrect alignments which can occur with multiple setups.
Another major benefit from the use of five-axis machining is the ability to machine extremely complex parts from a solid. For prototypes and very small runs, this approach is much quicker and more cost effective.
Our five-axis machines have a working platform of up to X 52" x Y 32" x Z 39" or a 57" diameter. |

CNC Vertical & Horizontal Machining
Evans Industries modern CNC milling section is equipped with the latest vertical machining centers, the largest of which is equipped with 100" X 69" table. Our bridge machines double-column design provides an expansive work envelope and super-rigidity needed for heavy table loads and tough cutting conditions.
The ability of these machines to produce large components is complimented by their incredible accuracy and flexibility. |

CNC Turning
Our turning capabilities are capable of manufacturing parts complete in one setup. Parts can be turned, milled, drilled and tapped on one machine. The mill-drill capability reduces the need for secondary machining on other machines, eliminating additional set-up and handling costs.
Capacity is up to 3.0" bar through the spindle and a 23-1/2" swing and with 12
stations of live tooling. |

Wire EDM
Evans Industries uses Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (Wire EDM) to produce precision, complex geometric and burr free parts. Wire EDM involves utilizing an electrically energized thin brass wire to cut through metals and can produce complex shapes in almost any type of metal. EDM wire used is as small as .0040" diameter.
Our EDM working platform is: X 12-1/2" x Y 8-1/2" x Z 7"
